Star Jones Weight Loss

Star Jones is a TV star and lawyer who lost more than 100 pounds really fast.

Because of this many people are suspecting that she had undergone a gastric bypass surgery.

Star Jones did admit that she underwent a medical procedure to jumpstart her weight loss but does not reveal the specific details.

She prefers not to “advertise” the procedure because although it was successful for her, it may not be the same for others.  She does not want to encourage others to go through that route to weight loss.

Star also claims that her weight loss was not all that drastic.  It took her more than 2 years to achieve her desired weight.  Over the last couple of years she went from a size 26 to a size 10.  She has also managed to keep her svelte figure.

Even if Star Jones lost a tremendous amount of weight because of the medical procedure she did not stoop her weight loss efforts there.  Star decided to increase her physical activity to keep the weight off.  She has been exercising and practicing Pilates under a private instructor at a private exercise facility. She has been living a much healthier lifestyle which also explains how she manages to keep the weight off.

After Star Jones lost the weight, she released a book in 2006 entitled Shine: A Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Journey to Finding Love.

In the book she revealed that at her heaviest she weighed over 300 pounds. When she turned 41 she strengthened her resolve to lose weight.  She met her husband Al after she had lost the initial 50 pounds.

She was already overweight when she became a poplar TV star.  Her weight did not stop people from admiring Star but she decided to lose weight also for health reasons.  She was a co-host with Barbara Walters in the TV show The View for nine years. The View was her most popular TV show although prior this she had already done several TV projects.

Star Jones is not the only TV star to successfully lose weight.  Oprah, an extremely popular talk show host also managed to lose weight and keep the unwanted fat off through all these years.  There are many others who have been successful with their weight loss efforts and they all serve as inspirations to those who wish to lose weight and reach their target weights.
