Kevin Trudeau is a marketing genius who has authored the book Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About.

“They” refers to the pharmaceutical companies and medical practitioners who Trudeau claims is intentionally keeping people sick so that they can earn more money.

He also launched a new book in 2007 Lose 30 Pounds in 30 Days - The Weight Loss Secret “They” Don’t Want You To Know About. Trudeau proclaims that following his methods will be the easiest way to lose weight.

More than weight loss Trudeau espouses natural cures for various illnesses. Trudeau introduces nutrition concepts in his book and his website which do not have any scientific studies to back the up but which people continue to patronize anyway. He is an extremely persuasive man who has found success selling various health concepts.

Among some of Trudeau’s claims is that coral calcium can cure cancer because it turns the body’s pH into alkaline and that your cell can not catch cancer with alkaline.

Together with Robert Barefoot, he made claims that alkaline water and coral calcium can neutralize the acidity in the body and proceeded to market such products to consumers.

Even when doctors warned against the lack of scientific findings to support this claim, clients continued to subscribe to Trudeau’s beliefs.

Before he had success selling his books, Trudeau had been involved in several federal cases that eventually resulted in him being imprisoned for 2 years. Still despite all his legal troubles he was hired to head the marketing group for a multi-level marketing company, Nutrition for Life Inc. which sold health products through its network of members. The company declared bankruptcy in 2003 but has made hefty profits for Trudeau and the other partners in the company.

In 1996 a class law suit was filed against Nutrition for Life Inc. Some of the issues involved in the case were the company’s misrepresentation or misinformation regarding its marketing efforts, earnings and others. By 1998, Trudeau had been prohibited by the federal government from making any false claims regarding a product. Still Trudeau continued to market his book and continued to claim that coral calcium cured cancer.

Some claim that Trudeau is not a criminal but a consumer advocate. Still despite Trudeau’s claim that all the pharmaceutical companies and medical companies were concerned only about money, he himself has made a fortune out of his book and other marketing efforts.
